ATF8000f Frigidaire Won't Work

I am having issues with my Frigidaire ATF8000f working. When I go to start a cycle and press the start button, the washer door sometimes locks and it works fine and sometimes it does not and it won’t start at all. The number of times it works is very limited.

I have recently hired a tech to come by the house and was told that the Door lock and switch assembly (Part Number 131763202) was broken and needed replace. Unfortunately, the tech performed zero test and wanted $250 to replace it. So, I purchased the part, installed it, and the problem still remains. I have also tried running the test recommended by the user manual, but have been unable to get any test results. The only information the washer relays is error code E6F and this only come up when I press the start and cancel button simultaneously.

I am not sure what else to do, one of your chat reps told me it could be the door switch (Part Number 131843146), but when I press it, the light on the washer turns on and off just fine.

Do you have any suggestions? Or better instructions on how to run the diagnostic test since I have not been able to get that to work. I am afraid of buying more parts and not be able to return them if they do not fix the problem.

First the good news, if you buy from this site and the part is not needed or does not fix the problem you can return it, even the electronics items (No I do not work for APP, I am a volunteer like most of the pros who respond here).

The bad news is that these models are difficult to diagnose and so you end up replacing parts until you find the problem. I would start with the main control unit, that seems most likely, but the door lock switch and speed control boards can also be the cause.
