This dryer will not make heat. 240 volts to the dryer, element test okay (9.8 ohm), continuity on the cut out, high limit, thermal fuse, and the thermistor test 15k at 60 degrees. A test on the control showed a reading higher than what KM’s tech sheet said to replace the control. I put in a new control and no heat. What else could it be, a motor switch. I put an new motor in, and no heat. All the wiring and connectors look good. What would you try to do?
Hi.
Check if there is 240VAC at the terminal block.
Remove one leg(wire) from the heater and check which leg doesn’t have 120VAC. Trace that wire up.
Did you replace the control board or the user interface control?
Simon.
There is 240 to the terminal. I replaced the control board, I did not replace the touch pad or user interface.
I will check the voltage as you suggested. Thanks
