Dryer won't start - help

 Dryer won’t start. It has power. The door switch works and the push button works. help

Hi.

Assuming that the door switch and start relay are good,
You need to check the thermal fuse, located at the back of the dryer on the blower housing, next to the operating thermostat.
If the fuse has continuity next check the timer contacts BK-BU, T-W. You should have continuity with the timer set to AUTO-REG.
Here are the breakdown diagrams and Bulkhead parts for Whirlpool WED5840SW0 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

what is broken is a thermal fuse by the exhaust. It is shown in the attached picture with the white back and the violet leads. It does not measure 0 ohms and when I jump it the dryer runs fine. All problems are fixed

I can’t find this part on your parts list? can you suggest how to find this part? Thank you:)
