In September of 09 I have replaced the door/lock switch. The unit would not go into high speed spin. After the new switch the unit worked until today. I have the service manual for the unit and it does not list the error code E6F. The unit is powered with lights on and the time appears in the window for the selected load. The soap tray is in and the door appears to close correctly, power is on and water is on. When the start button is pressed nothing happens. The front loading door does not appear to be locking after start is selected. I’m able to pull the error code by depressing the two buttons so the start button appears to be registering when pressed. I have not pulled anything apart to test because there is no error code E6F listed in the service manual. I have tried to reset the error code with no luck. I have not tried to install the old switch because it was disposed when the new switch was installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
[FONT=Comic Sans MS][SIZE=3]I replaced the electronic control unit. Works like new! WARNING: This repair is not a simple repair. Make sure you label the wires, transfer the plastic pieces exactly and keep track of what screws go where. Be sure that all connectors are firmly connected to the unit before snapping the front panel back. Considering that the replacement part was a guess because the error code is not anywhere I made a guess that it was the Electronic control. I bought the replacement part from Sears parts direct because I could have returned it to the store.
