I have a Frigidaire Front load NG dryer that is about 5 years old. During a normal drying cycle everything works as it should, the problem occurs when the machine is not being used. Last week, we found that it would start to beep and the timer/cycle start lights would be on after completing a drying cycle. I assumed that we must have hit a button walking by the dryer and ignored it. However, it has continued to do this.
With everything shut down and all lights off, turning the cycle knob activates the machine, when a cycle is selected and the start button is pressed everything works as expected. The machine runs, heats and completes the cycles. When the end of cycle beep sounds, we empty the machine and close the door. At that point all lights are off as they should be.
After completing the cycle and powering down, the cycle lights and beeper will sound some 20-30 minutes after the full dry cycle was completed. If I press the cancel button, everything will shut down again for 20-30 minutes and then the machine will turn the cycle lights on again. This goes on for an hour or two and then it will completely shut down and stay powered off. I have pressed each button to check for stuck buttons, but do not find any.
