I have a frigidaire Front load washer that is about 3 years old and it is in a rental house. I was brought to my attention that it wasn’t working and when i checked it out there was just a ERR display. I have had no luck clearing it or getting it to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am going to try and find the tech manual tommorow when i go to the house and hopefully that will help. It is behind the front panel?
Thanks ,
Jon
It should be under the top or behind the lower front panel.
If you need more assistance please post a full model number.
Thanks and good luck.
I looked behind the back panel and found no manual. I was able to access the control board and I think I can switch out the board. Is there anything special I should know about it other than unplugging and switching out the plugs? I called a local repair shop and explained the symptoms and they thought it was the control board. The Washer is paused in a cycle and when you touch any button it beeps 3 times and flashes ERR.
Thanks again
You should be able just to unplug each connection from the old board and make the connection to the new board. I still do not know which model you have, and some boards have unique connections so that you cannot mis-connect the board, but even then I would still do it one connection at a time.
I also use anti-static devices when I work with boards, not sure you have to but it doesn’t hurt anything to do it.
Let us know how it turns out.
Thanks for the quick response. I want to try these tests it just stinks that i have to cordinate with the tennant to work on it. I am guessing it will be the control board.
