My GE side-by-side fridge is leaking water from the water dispenser on the freezer door with the water being shut off. Seems to overfill the cup we have under it and run down the front of the door and onto the floor . How can this happen with the water being shut off to the fridge?
In order to provide most accurate advice we need the complete model number of the refrigerator.
I won’t have a model number till fall.
It’s a GE side freezer with water and ice in freezer door
Purchased at HomeDepot.
Why is the water dispenser leaking
Without any city water turned on. Could it be
Pressure in the lines from the heat in the home.
It is on Arizona!!!
More likely the ice door in the dispenser does not completely close, letting some warm air to get inside and create condensed icicles.
It leaks only from the water dispenser.
How can it leak when the city water is off?
Are you sure it’s leaking from the water dispenser tube?
