My frigidaire dryer is squeaking AGAIN!!!!

Not really, but the drum is held in place by the ball hitch and the belt and the front.

Yes, the heat shield attached to the side and base of the cabinet.

I was speaking of the heat shield that attaches to the back of the drum, I have the drum in and the belt back on, but we had to stop, seems we have the wrong kind of vent adapter. I have to extend the ductwork, I have no idea how they attached it to the dryer it’s just not long enough because of the little area the dryer has to be pushed back into, but no biggie, I’m sure I just about have it now, thanks so much for all the help.

Totally off topic here but damn my luck, along with the dryer breaking, my dishwasher broke and the hot water heater, today I went in the bathroom turned on the hot water and nothing came out! The pipes are frozen!!!

I searched here http://www.frigidaire.com/manuals but didn’t find it, you may want to try it yourself or go to that page and email them, they say they can send you what you need if you can’t find it. The loud squeaking sounds like mine did, but I don’t know about the thumping sound, could be the plastic housing that holds the bearing came loose or the felt on the front of the drum might be wore, someone else on here can tell you more, good luck.

Here ya go, I found this after doing a search on Google http://www.appliance-parts-warehouse.com/frigidaire-parts/Frigidaire-Dryer-Parts/Frigidaire-Parts-FDE216RES1.cfm That should help ya some I hope.

Hello, I just wanted to thank you again for all your help, it took a while because of my back, and I had to glue the felt glides twice, but it seems to be working fine now! we are on out 3rd load of clothes and all is well! Monday I take apart the hot water heater to replace the overheat fuse!! wish me luck and thanks again!

Well, glad your back allowed you to get it back together. I know it was a struggle but nice going, and thanks for the update.

Recently replaced spark module that was working intermittently. After replacement, 5 of 6 burners work correctly including front xlo burner. Now the rear xlo will lite on Hi then turning 5 degrees solenoid operates and flame goes out, another couple of degrees and solenoid operates, sparks and lights, but, xlo does not function, flamed goes out past low.

This worked before the old module went out. With the old module the burners would not light unless you turned another burner on. That issue is repaired. Thanks for the help.

Hello,
I am wanting to know how to change my dryer element for my dryer part number ap3094254 can you let me know what i need to do.
Thanks Tim

Tim,

Remove the rear panel.
Remove the screw from heat shield. Remove the wires to the heat element.
Remove the screw from side of heater box and slide the heat element out of dryer.
Slide new heat element into dryer and reattach screw on side of heater box.
Reattach the heat element wires. Replace heat shield.

Hello, We have a Amana stove that we replaced the bake element in 1 year ago. The stove quit heating, however would work on broil. We replaced the element and that fixed it until now. The same thing has happened. I will heat to about 165 degrees and that takes forever and won’t get any hotter. I’m just wondering if this would be the element again and why it would break again 1 year later. Thank you! My email is ginaeric@paulbunyan.net.
