2 weeks ago my dishwasher was running fine, the next morning none of the buttons would work. 2 days ago, I shut its door all the way - latched closed - and the dishwasher tried to run with only the "wash" light on. I quickly opened it to double check my eyes, and it went back to not working at all again.
I tried to look at all the other answers to all the other people here, but I just do not understand most of what people are told. Control panels and fuses and wires underneath things??? I am afraid I will need to be taught a beginner’s class 101, if anyone can tolerate my need for it.
This dishwasher is the bottom of the line Maytag because at the time, it was all we could afford. We figured by the time it broke down, we would be able to afford another $300 for a new one. (that is also why we never purchased the warranty) Well, we can’t afford a new one, and the $300 is also what the repairman would cost, so I need to figure out this fix myself.
If anyone can help…PLEASE…I am begging you!
