No heat…located thermal cutoff,opertating thermostat, no limit thermostat, where is the thermal fuse located. Also how would you test to figure out what needs replaced if anything… all else works??? Thanks
The first thing I would do is check (with a multimeter) for 240 VAC to the dryer. Make sure that both dryer circuit breakers are on. Post the results.
If the motor works then there is nothing wrong with the thermal fuse.

Gene, the estate dryer runs however no heat is being supplied to the drum. I removed the back of the dryer TEDS840JQ2 ESTATE, located the fuse( appears to be intact, white dual terminal black connecting same) removed and found nothing which would indicate blown) located thermal cutoff, dryer cycling thermostat, both look normal. I then removed the heating element and again nothing out of order by the ********** eye. What would most likely need replaced? I realize its a crap shoot, I guess in what order would I replace parts to solve the problem? Fuse, thermal cutoff, thermostat, heating element…Approx 80.00 for parts, could it be anything outside of what I listed…Thanks Jim

The motor needs just 120 VAC to run while the heating element needs 240 VAC. That’s why 240 VAC to the dryer is so important. Did you verify it?

Gene, Yes, I’ve had the dryer for 5 years no problems until now…
If you had not such problems for five years it does not mean it you can not have it today.
The troubleshooting has to be done step by step and this the first step.

Gene. Both breakers are set, dryer runs fine, no heat. Breaker appears fine, no unusual signs of failure on any of the componets related to the heater element, thermostats, timer…Thanks…Jim

Do you have a multimeter?
A visual test does not work with electrical stuff.
You have to remove the terminal block cover (5 on the diagram) and measure the voltage between the red & white and the black & white wires. Each reading should be about 120 VAC while the voltage reading between the red & black wires should be 240 VAC.
Post the results and we will go from there.
