I finally did get the tub seal and belt installed. No more noise and water leakage. Now the washer comes out of balance so easy, its ridiculous. This problem is not new, its been coming on for a while and its just getting worse. I used to be able to put on a load to wash and leave the house, but i would not dare do that now. I may come home to a big problem. This problem is in the spin cycle and i just have to stop the washer and redistribute the clothes and everything is fine. Please help.
I would try changing out the snubber ring and then operate the machine with the front panel off and see if it still have the problem and if so where you think the problem is. The springs could be an issue or there could be a nearly invisible hairline crack in the support structure.
I have a similar issue with a kenmore elite washer, about 7 years old, working fine otherwise. Is the snubber ring and springs the best place to start with it as well? Thanks for your time!
