I got a new part this weekend from Sears. I keep thinking its not the right part I just wished they would have given me the part that is bad. Anyway My dryer was not heating up, I checked the heating element and it is fine just a tad burned, but coils are still in tacked. The lady at sears told me that the fuse was my problem. So here is my delima. I got an instruction sheet for part number 279816 thermal cutoff kit. It tells me to put the two screws supplied. then to attach one end of the jumper wire to the thermostat and the other end to the element
NOTE at the bottom says If there is a 3/16 terminal connected to the direct connect thermostat then one end of the jumper wire must be cut off and the male/female combination terminal crimped into place. Then the male/female combination must be attached to the thermostat. The 3/16female terminal must also be cut off of the wire harness and the 1/4 female terminal crimped onto the wire. Then that wire must be attached to the male/female combination terminal. see figure 2 ok it is so small i can not copy it, that plus this is so other language to me. Can someone please help me show me another picture of something this is getting on my nerves and i really need to get it up and working again, beecause closes are pilling up.
