Just replaced the timer on this Maytag dryer and it is heating fine, but the timer is not advancing in any cycle. What might be causing this? Any suggestions would be helpful what to check. Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you sure you have the new timer wired properly ?
Was that your original issue ?
You most likely have a bad electronic dryness control board,

Located on the left side of the dryer lower cabinet area, near the blower housing assembly.
