27 Year Old GE Dishwasher

Can’t believe the number of years of trouble free service we’ve gotten out of this machine. All I had to fix was to replace a small spring in the twist activation switch. Actually fashioned a ball point pen spring for the repair. After installing a new disposal and running the washer for the first time with the new disposal, water is pouring out the bottom of the door soon after starting the machine. I removed the disposal knockout for washing machine hookup, so that’s not the problem.

Not sure if the machine’s pump has failed or its a fill valve switch issue. Given the unit’s age should I just retire it for a new one?
