Did the diagnostic check and got Error Code E31 - "Pressure sensor not communicating…" Refered to Test 4. Test 4 states "Inspect the wiring between the pressure sensor and control board for defects" with a possible CORRECTION of "Defective wiring. Replace wiring". I could identify a defect if it was external, i.e., insulation split or broken wire. My 1st question is how do I check to ensure there is not an internal defect in the wiring ( I am a comlete novice in the area of electronics)? Would a simple continuity test suffice?
My 2nd question is - If the wiring is not defective, how do I determine if the problem is the Pressure Sensor or the Control Board?
A continuity check will determine if there is an internal break in the wiring.
Unfortunately, Frigidaire does not give a spec for testing the switch, there instruction are to replace it, and if that does not fix things, replace the control board. This strategy works nicely if you are a service tech with a truck full of parts, which is how the service tech diagnoses the problem.
Check with your parts supplier and APP and see if they will allow a return of the pressure switch if it does not fix the problem. If you find a supplier that will allow a return, replace the switch and if that does not fix things you will have to try replacing the control board.
Sorry not to be more helpful, but this is the world of electronic controls. Not a particularly helpful world, is it?
sounds like bolt or penny being tossed around how hard is to remove the top to get to the drum:cool:

Ken,
You’ll need a putty knife, to release to top panel from the cabinet, and some basic hand tools.
Here are excerpts from the service manual for your unit.
(I don’t think you’ll need to remove the basket hub, but you should clean the filter).
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Turn off water supply.
d) Tape the washer lid closed.
e) Using a putty knife, press and unlock the
two front top locks. The locks are approximately
6-1/2˝ from the outside edge of
the washer.
3. To remove the basket: a) Loosen the clamp and pull the recirculation
hose off the tub ring.
b) Pry out and unsnap the tub ring tabs
from the tub and remove the tub ring.
c) Insert the blade of a small screwdriver
into the slot in the impeller cap, then
pry the cap up, and remove it.
d) Remove the 7/16˝ hex-head bolt from
the impeller, then lift and remove the
impeller from the basket. NOTE: Lifting
the basket will assist in removing
the impeller.
e) Lift the basket out of the washer.

5. To remove the lint filter, remove the two
screws, and lift the filter from the tub.
