agitatator lower part does not turn ?

Hello Everyone

the agitator lower parrt does not turn freely by hand

Would appreciate if anybody comments on what needs to be replaced in this top load washer

you need to remove the very top of the agitator, about 6 inches down in there you’ll see a bolt, take it out and pull the agitator off.( might not be easy) then run wash on lowest setting, if you see the top of the transmission go back and forth, it’s the agitator. if not, it’s the trans.
