Oven was unable to get over 300 degrees no matter what it was set at. I replaced the temperature probe. Same problem.
I replaced the electric control unit (Eaton KRC - Gas) and got an F3 code. So, for a laugh, I reattached the old control unit and now it too gives me an F3 code too ! As stated earlier, the old control unit worked and gave no F3 code.
I’ve disconnected the power. I’ve checked all the probe wiring and connectors for continuity. No problems detected.
The "F3" error code means the control senses an open oven sensor.
Locate the oven sensor plug at the control board, remove it from the control board and measure the resistance at the plug. It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.
Make sure there is good connection when it’s plugged into the control board.
"New" does not always equal to "good" today and I did not ask you to go down to the sensor. The test I recommended is mostly for the harness and connections.
