Befor I start, great site and has been helpful.
My machine has all the symptoms of a problem in the defrost cycle. Have recently replaced the timer and the thermostat. Guess the heater is next. Is there anything else I’m missing?
How hot does the heater get when on?
Next time I have to defrost the machine, in a month, I’ll check the Ohms on the heater.
I know the power must be off, but can I check the heater while the leads are still connected.
Hi.
I’d like you to give me the hole scoop of information on what was the original problem and what is it exactly that you did to fix it.
Thank you.
Simon.

After reading different diognostics was pretty sure it was the defrost timer, but just to make sure got a new thermostat too. Inslalled both.
Defrosted ice that had built up in two week time.
After installing new thermostat, and before closing it up, ran machine in defrost cycle to see if heater warmed up and it did not.
Hi.
In order for the heater to start heating up , the defrost thermostat must be ice cold.
You need to check the heater’s continuity.
Is the evaporator get’s packed with snow again or the refrigerator is not cold?
