I have an Amana side-by-side refrigerator. The ice maker is producing only a small amount of ice. When I remove the ice bin and put it back, this seems to initiate the ice making process, but still only a little ice is made. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator model# SLD25JB at an estate sale. When we removed it from the house, the doors had to be removed and during the process the top refrigerator door hinge was lost. The part has been discontinued(# AP60164) and I would like to know how do I find a part that will sub for that particular part #.
