My Amana NFW7300WW00 (10 yr old) front load washer is leaking in between the front of the tub and the back of the front counterweight. There were multiple independent issues that I fixed, but there is still leakage and I can’t locate the source.
- Started leaking like crazy as soon as the machine filled and started the wash cycle. Following an inspection, there was a large tear in the bellow so I replaced it. The Leakage reduced significantly but didn’t go away. Detergent hose to tub intact with no leakage.
- Removed and reinstalled the bellows to be sure placement was correct and both metal clamps/rings significantly tightened. Still leaking but only a small amount. Leaking during spin and drain cycle.
- Removed and cleaned the water pump catch filter. It had a TON of debris (bobby pins, hair bands, coins, nail…etc). Checked tub to water pump hose. No debris, no tears, and no leakage from clamps. Checked water pump drain hose, no debris, no tears, no leakage from clamps. Still leaking a very small amount between tub and back of front counterweight during the end of last wash/spin.
- Removed top panel and observed an entire cycle. No visible leaks from hoses, or detergent dispenser. Leak only visible from below (access panel removed) during last spin/drain. It can be felt between the tub and counterweight and drips down weight. It’s a very small amount but still a leak.
5)No unusual sounds, movement or smell from machine. It Washes, rinses, and drains properly. - There is no digital display, only buttons and I’m not sure how to review error codes with morse code :).
7)I haven’t removed the counterweight, but I guess that is next. - PLEASE ADVISE before I lose my mind. Can there be a problem with a tub seal? A crack in the front of the tub?
