bad Auger motor in ice dispensor?

My ice dispensor recently stopped dispensing ice, its making cubes just fine, it just doesnt want to give them too me. I suspected a bad Auger motor, I pulled the ice tray out and gave the auger a couple of turns by hand it it started working again. The problem seems intermittent. There is also a relay looking capacitor mounted right next to the auger motor, does it have anything to do with my problem? Any help is appreciated, I have the go ahead to buy parts, I just dont want to purchase anything I dont need
