Hello,
I have a GE double oven. Model JKP36 002wh. I don’t find that exact number on your website. Tonight the baking element literally burned itself in two and a small part of it is welded to the bottom of the oven. It made a loud pop and then sounded like a welding machine until I turned it off via the switch. Is that a normal failure? It had been working fine before this. The oven is pretty old and I expect element is not original but it is at least three years old since that is how long we have lived in the house. Should I try just replacing the element or is this probably more serious? Can you help me identify the correct element?
Thanks for the help!
