I have a 12 year-old Maytag Model MDB4000AWW dishwasher which developed a leak at the pump gasket and heating element. Since these gaskets and o-rings were worn, I decided that it would be a good time to replace the other gaskets and o-rings as well. During disassembly of the motor, I did not notice where the Ball Chec was seated. It actually fell out after I removed the drain cover and drain impeller. I want to be sure I reinstall the Ball Chec correctly. Can anyone offer guidance as to its correct placement? The Ball Chec is the only part I’m not certain about. Thank you…Patrick.
