Blinking clock

In 2013 the clock, timer,etc. quit working on my range. Feel sure it was caused by lightning. I ordered a Timer Replacement Service Kit and installed it in the range. Kit # 903015-9010. It seemed to do the job, clock, timer. oven, etc. worked. The problem is…when I turn on a top burner, the igniter starts to make a clicking sound and the clock on the range starts blinking as if there had been a power outage. The clock does not blink every time I turn on a burner but often enough to be annoying. Have any ideas what the problem and any solutions? Linda
