Can’t get the blower motor to spin. When the dryer is turned on, the motor will get hot but will not turn. Read a post earlier by someone having same problem but they could turn the shaft by hand and that would start the motor, and the problem was solved by buying and installing a new capacitor. But after purchasing a new motor (from Appliancepartspros.com) with a new capacitor included, i’m having the same problem. (Which old motor was burned out so not sure if capacitor was problem first time)
I’ve checked the voltage going in and out of every connection on the motor, heating coils, and the timer. All show about 126 (meaning 110V as it should be).
Dumb question: Would the copper "detectors" on top of the drum cause a problem? I only ask because i tested for voltage between the two and got nothing…or should I be thinking another bad capacitor?
