I think I have a transmission problem but need help.
My washer goes to spin cycle and bangs loud!!! it is like the transmission pully will not move the trans. I removed the belt and now noise, I also have some broken brake pads is that my only problem or do i need a trans.

Hi Bob,

I would recommend to replace the transmission together with the break assembly. You can find the complete instructions in the [AP171063](http://www.servicematters.com/maytag_library/docs/16022937.pdf"]Service manual.[/URL]

Gene.

is it best to replace the brake rotor also or just the pads.

Which part did you call "break rotor"?

Also I did not give you the part number for the break pads kit. It is AP4245881

Gene.
P.S. I believe you can find answers on most of your questions in the Service manual, posted earlier.

I ment the brake assembly or just the pad kit but now I see you ment just the the pad kit (I SUCK). tHANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP I WILL TRY TO REPAIR THIS THIS WEEKEND AND LET YOU KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

Bob,

I’m glad you were able to fix it. You can leave the old spring as far as it works.

Has anyone had any problems with this. The microwave turns on, lights work, but does not heat and the fan does not work either. I think it is the Magnetron, but not sure. If it is the magnetron, is this something I can change out myself? Thanks

the age of the microwave is almost 3 years

left icemaker on with no water.
now dumping and spraying water in freezer.

How difficult is the installation of a Motor Control Assembly (Part #AP4027228 in a Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer? It is showing an error code of LR
& I am told that is the part that is needed. It does’nt completely fill/empty & I don’t think it is spinning.

Hi Donna

What you want to do is fairly easy, just take off the door, then the other two screws holding the front panel on and remove it. This will give you access to the motor control board.

Here is the service manual which will show you how in detail. Your model is an updated version of the basic Neptune 3000.

http://www.servicematters.com/maytag_library/docs/16010061.pdf

The supplement at the back is an update for your model. See page 4-5 for details on how to remove the board. Also, I suggest you do as much of the testing/troubleshooting as you can from the supplement to try to make certain the part you are replacing is the right fix, as it is pretty expensive.

Good luck.

I removed my old oven igniter and replaced it with a new one. While removing the old one I dropped in before I had unplugged the oven and it shorted and and caused a slight arc. After I installed the new one it will not glow. Is there fusing that may have blew. If so where is it. I do not see any fusing on the wiring diagram. Or worse did I damage the EOC.

i need a diagram on how to put the belt on
