I have a Bosch Washer WFK2401, front loading machine which is about 10 years old. I have the same problem as another forum user, that the door doesn’t open after a cycle, stays locked at 01 mode in the control panel.
I did the drain mode and that did work several times to unlock. Now that doesn’t seem to do the trick and I also tried what "Gene, senior expert" recommended @ http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/washer-repair/6788-bosch-washer-wfk2401.html#post18480
and was able to open unlock the door after following Gene’s instruction to bring the machine into "default mode" and turning it off for about 10 minutes. These attempts don’t always work and success rate is very random-and annoying.
My questions are:
- Did other people have issues such as mine and what did they do to remedy it.
2)if the issues are the parts(door and control panel) aren’t they costly and do they even exist since this is an older model Bosch.
