broken washer

My washer filled with water but is not spinning.

Probably a faulty lid switch.

If it just stops after reaching fill level or works but doesn’t spin yes i’d look at lid switch as well. Sometimes they split down the middle and in a pinch can be held together with a zip tie. We always replace them though. But the new ones get zip ties  if it sounds like it’s trying to run it may need a coupler or a clutch.
