Can anyone help confirm my diag? Ice Buildup in Freezer

Hello all, i have the famous issue of the ice build up in the freezer causing it to warm up the freezer. After talking it apart, i the only things i can see that can cause the problem is a defrost heater, a thermistor and what i think is a defrost sensor.
The heater ohms out at 40ohms (Is that good?), thermistor ohms out at 4.5 ohms(Good?) and the sensor that im not sure what it is cause it doesnt show it on any diagrams (It connects to the same connector the thermistor wires run too) is not ohming out. So im guessing its that mystery sensor?

I would like to test out the defrost heater but there is no defrost timer on the fridge so i dont know how to test it out aside from resistance.

This is the part i think i need, the random sensor comes with it but the parts considered a "Controller" not a thermistor. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/lg-controller-assembly-6615jb2002r-ap4438478.html

Is that my best bet replacing that or could there be other issues to inspect? The fan does spin so ive narrowed that out also. I did defrost the freezer so i could run it to keep food alive while the parts shipped but within 4 hours the freezer started building up ice again
