I’ve read that I should be able to remove the front panel of my GE WJRE555OH1W 3.5 cuft top load clothes washer by pressing down on the two release clips that can be found along the seam between the front panel and the top panel. When I press down on these simultaneously with screwdrivers (they seem to push down into the front panel) and pull on both sides of the top of the front panel it should swing out – but it doesn’t budge at all. What am I doing wrong?

Place your flat blade to where it goes under the clips and pull out one corner at a time.
