Can't remove control board on dryer.

Hi folks, I was digging through another post with an E68 error message on a Frigidaire dryer. After following all the directions in that post I determined that I need to replace my control board. Just to be sure, I’m attempting to remove it before I order the part. Just to make sure I can do it.

So far, I removed the two screws on the top back, and slid the top back. I removed the four screws under there on the top front. Two on each side.

The other instructions say to roll the panel forward to expose the board. I can’t get it to budge, and figured I’d better make sure I don’t break it in the process.

Any help?

Thanks,
Rick

After my initial post, I got a step stool (my units are stacked) and found 2 screws inside, and that did the trick.

I ordered the part at about 5:00pm Friday, on Labor Day week-end. Two hours later I got an e-mail saying the part was shipped ($7.00 standard). So, it’s a holiday week-end, I figure I’ll get it probably Wed. or Thurs.

Nope. Next day, 1:00pm on Sat., Fed-ex dropped off the part. Had it installed and drying a load in less than 20 hours from ordering the part.

Yep, you guys are good.

Thanks a lot,
Rick
