GFCI tripped and this refrigerator stopped running. Unplugged, reset GFCI, plugged in and a clicking noise was coming from the back of the unit from the circuit board area. Could the circuit board be the problem? Is there a way to re-set the circuit board or is it finished? Lights work just fine.
One other issue with this unit. There has been a intermittent humming/squealing noise from the freezer compartment. Is the fan motor the problem? Can it be lubricated?
I thank any responses in advance!
Denman has been a huge help in the past!
It will be the circuit board you are talking about. It is called the motherboard. It usually is the problem. Tom %url%
Hello, Durangler.
The control board is located at the back of the frig behind the metal cover.
If you will take it out and turn over, then most likely you 'll see a burned contacts at the compressor relay.
Replace the control board.Instructions are inside.

Regarding the noise from the freezer - most likely it’s a bad evaporator motor. Defective evaporator motor may damage
new control board.

Thanks kayakcrzy, for defining the part. Had a problem with the link.
Thank you Simon. I’ll order the control board.
I looked at the evaporator motor in the freezer and it has the one with the thermistor wired
into the connecting harness, part #AP3191003. So I’ll order that also.
Appreciate everyone’s assistance.
Have an ice maker problem with same refrigerator, but will post a question about that later,
after I get the motherboard installed.
