Occasionally clothes will get hung between front drum bearing and drum resulting in black marks on clothes and sometimes tearing of item. I have checked the drum and there is no back and forth play, but there is up and down play. Just wondering if it is only the front drum bearing that is worn or if there is another part that may be worn. Dryer dries clothes just fine, it is just the problem of clothes getting hung.
Thanks
Thanks for the info. The problem seems to occur regardless of load size. Since I will have the front apart to replace slides, I think that I will also replace the front bearing since the dryer is as old as it is. That should take care of any problems for a long time.

Jackpeg,
Thanks for the update.
I have to agree with you, Replace the bearings and slide, you should be fine then.

Ice maker quit, came here got good advise, bought new valve worked great for 5 months, now just stopped makes an occasional groan, but that’s it, also noticed that a lot of frost or ice is forming on the air handler in the fridge, what the stink is going on. randy
