I’ve replaced my control panel and have attemped to reset the test procedure. I have gotten to step 13 and have pressed start and I’m getting the number 8 instead of "SAS" OR "ELE". I have disconnected the elect., and restarted the steps and still can not reprogram my stove. Could it be that the control panel is defective?
I tried troubleshooting per GE recommendation to get oven door unlocked with no success. This model has a solenoid style lock. I would like to know how to operate the door latch assembly manually to be able to open the door. (I know where to access it in the rear of oven, but don’t know how to manually do this) Note: I will not need to use the self-cleaning cycle again, so I am not interested in replacing parts…just want to be able to use my oven.
