Hello–I have a 30 year old Jenn-Air cooktop, and one top element doesn’t work.
- I know it is not the element, it works in other burner recepticles
- I don’t think it’s the control, because when I push in the element towards the recepticle, it starts to get hot. When I let it go, it gets cold.
I look at the plug-in receiver for the element, and I see a metal clip around perhaps a plastic recepticle with wires that go directly to the controls area–no way to easily take it out and have a look.
Can someone tell me what I need to do to fix this? Thank you so much!!
