Cycle Control

Timer cycle when I start the washer in the start position it does not always start in the correct cycle. It could be in the spin cycle or the middle of the wash cycle etc. Someone told me this is the timer switch and they can be easily replaced. I’m looking for a diagram of the washer to locate the timer switch and is this the probelm?

The first thing I would check (before replacing the timer) are the timer knob and dial (100, #7 & #8 on the diagram).
