Detergent Door Doesn't Always Open During Wash Cycle

Hi,

We have had a problem our Bosch Dishwasher (Model # SHU66C05UC\14) with the Detergent Door Not Opening during the wash cycles. It doesn’t always happen, and we sometimes find that if you heat the water prior to running the Dishwasher it opens. Sometimes it doesn’t. This is our second Bosch, and this is the first problem that we’ve ever encountered. If this is a specific Parts Issue, which part is it? How do you replace it? Any help would be appreciated.

In such situation I would recommend to replace the detergent dispenser (# 7 on the [AP2834000](http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?diagram_id=192182&&model_id=5110089"]door assembly break down diagram[/URL]).

The freezer door functions, ice dispenser, water dispenser, light, have stopped working. The ice maker still works, everything else on the freezer and refrigerator still works. What is the likely problem?

What is the complete model number of the fridge and what exactly is wrong?

I have a GE model GSS23WGTABB refrigerator(just over a year old) that all the functions have stopped working on the door also and everyonce in a while the dispenser pad starts ticking (like it’s going to blow). Do I need to replace the interface dispenser assembly (I was going to order it, but thought I would ask first). When it first quit working it would all of a sudden just start working out of the blue, now it is totally dead.

Most likely the problem is the main control board which operates the dispenser.

  • The part number for the main control board is AP3950129

It is on the back of the fridge, under the metal access panel (#801 on the break down diagram).

The oven does not heat to set temperature. If its set at 350 it will heat to 275, 400 to 325. Its a Maytag model MER5730AAW, serial #12264515UY and was purchased in 2000. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  1. Check solenoid in the door.
  2. Check board in the door.
  3. Check wiring.

Ken: I have an Amana gas dryer LG8519W2. There is gas to the valve but it does not reach the ignitor. The electrical checks out ok. There is power to both gas solenoids. The ignitor is functioning properly so I’m assuming the shared neutral used by the ignitor and solenoids is ok. I cleared out the gas orfice, there are no obstructions. Is there a volt ohm meter check that I can do to check the function of both solenoids? Is there something that could affect both solenoids at the same time?

If the ignitor comes on, and no gas, replace the solonoids. Tom

Tom. Thank you for your quick response. I really appreciate it. My diagnosis was the same as yours, but is it common that both solonoids would go bad at the same time? Is there a field check to find out if the solonoids are bad before I invest in two new ones? Ken

we just purchased a used dryer hook it up and you can hear the gas but there is no heat can you please help us out with what can be wrong with it thank you

we just purchased a used maytag gas dryer we have gas but no heat :mad:
