You don’t have to remove the control panel, you remove the plastic inner door liner.
Here are the instructions from the service manual,

[/FONT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][LEFT]Removal of the Inner Door Panel will allow access to the Microprocessor Board, Door Switches, Detergent / Rinse Aid Dispenser, and Vent Assembly.[/LEFT]
[/SIZE][/FONT][/SIZE][/FONT][B][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][LEFT]Removal
- Disconnect power to the machine.[/LEFT]
[/B][/SIZE][/FONT][/SIZE][/FONT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][LEFT]2. Open the Dishwasher door. - Remove the 11 Torx™ screws along the sides and
top of the Inner Door Panel.[/LEFT] - Separate the Inner Door Panel from the Outer Door.
[FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][LEFT]5. Disconnect wires from the Vent and Dispenser Wax
Motors before pulling the Inner Door Panel away[/LEFT]
from the Dishwasher.
[FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][LEFT]1. Disconnect power to the machine.[/LEFT]
[/SIZE][/FONT][/SIZE][/FONT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][LEFT]2. Remove the Inner Door Panel. (See paragraph Inner
Door Panel removal).
3. Lift Door Latch Assembly out.[/LEFT]

- Disconnect power to the machine.[/LEFT]
[/B][/SIZE][/FONT][/SIZE][/FONT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][LEFT]2. Remove the Inner Door Panel. (See paragraph Inner
Door Panel removal). - Remove Door Latch and Switch Holder Assembly.[/LEFT]
- Depress locking tabs and lift switch from holder.
