Is there supposed to be a spring strong enough to hold the door in the up position?
Whirlpool GHW9100LW1, how hard is it to change the seal in the front door? There is a rip in it, and is there anything to watch out for? Thanks:)

I have a Whirlpool Duet HT washer (GHW9250MW1).
The MCU is screwed up (F06 error code); I removed it but there’s no specific part # on it.
Local tech said it might be 8126706 (CTRL-EL)
Having the hardest time finding a place (other then 2 authorized local WP shops that want >$300 for it) online that sells it.
Any and all help would be appreciated.

I just ordered a drain pump assembly today. I hope this solves the finicky drain. Some cycles it’s fine, some cycles it F2’s or SUD even with only 2 tablespoons HE liquid detergent. Most cycles it won’t drain during the rinse cycle. I have taken apart the drain assembly cleaned it out, de junked it. Ran hot cycles etc…ugh.
I sure hope all this getting to know my washer today pays off when I install this new pump.

While I was at it I took apart, front and back, my matching duet dryer and cleaned the whole inside. I even took off the lint catcher and vac’d it all out nice and purty. Holy coin-ville! About 3 pockets worth of change in the bottom og my dryer, lol!

I’ve waited several months to decide to get the new pump. I’ve had issues for about 6 months and I’ve cleaned the drain 2 other times. (after coming here and getting directions on how to access the pump, wink) Do you think I was wise to start with replacing the pump?

This part is not too difficult to replace yourself. You can find the complete instructions in the Service manual.

seems like every load no matter how we arrange clothes. washer bangs and walks across floor. what should I look for.
I would pull the front cover and look for white shavings on the base. If so, you need to replace the snubber.

There is a ring around the rubber seal that can be removed with a flat head screwdriver

I have a whirlppol duet steam 9600 washing machine that comes up with the error message "F-35". Finding out that it was a pressure sensor failure, I ordered the part from you.

My whirlpool washer duet ht the drum in not turning to wash or rinse the clothes not sure why do you have any suggestion is it hard to fix or should i call the repair men to fix it.
so my washer is throwing the FdL code I read a few post on the website and everyone who has had this code replaced their door switch assembly so I ordered one and put it in and tryed to start my washer and the FdL code came on again any thoughts on what I might do to fix it now.

You have to take the front off and top off of the washing machine. But the repair doesn’t require any special knowledge or tools. I don’t have the links, but their are many videos and instructions out there on the web.
