Dishwasher motor--need to confirm bad drain winding

I did a resistance check on the wires to the motor (Part 3369330) and found near 0 readings on the White & Blue to Yellow (wash cycle) connectors but very high resistance on the White & Blue to Black (Drain cycle) conncectors.

Does this confirm that the drain winding of the motor is defective?

The dishwasher does not drain properly–everything else I checked is working OK, so that left only the motor or timer to be the problem.

If my assessment is correct, I assume that the motor can not be fixed but must be replaced–is that right?

Thank you,

Bob F

I am doing a bit of guessing here that your unit would be a close match.
See page 38, it shows the drain winding as 4.2 to 7 ohms.

Yes the motor will have to be replaced.
I cannot explain it but it looks like the motor/pump assembly is cheaper than just the motor.
