Dishwasher - not cleaning and draining thru airgap

I have a Maytag Quiet Series 100 MDB600. About 6-7 years old. It was leaving the dishes filmy and not entirely clean. We had a repair person out who removed the dishwasher and cleaned it out thoroughly. I know because he left the crud he cleaned out of it all over my front yard and driveway. He reinstalled and I even ran vinegar cycles through it and filled the glass cleaner. This seemed to work ok (much better but not great)\r\nfor a few weeks. I waited an additional week to call the service that "fixed" the problem but was told since I was out of the 30day warranty I would have to pay again (another local service to cross off of my ever growing list of bad appliance repair companies)My problem is now the dishes are very filmy and my countertop is consistently flooded as water now comes out of the airgap with every cleaning. Thanks for any help and suggestions.
