Dishwasher "Clean Light" is flashing. Water in unit did not heat. Based on what I am reading, it appears to be the heating element. I don’t have a meter to test it. How do you replace it with a new one. The website does not have any instructional videos on this replacement. Also, if it would not be the heating element that is the problem, should I consider replacing any other parts?
Could be a bad heating element or a bad control board.
Remove the access panel at the bottom of your dishwasher and look for the tech sheet.
The tech sheet will tell you how to run the diagnostics and do some troubleshooting.

A couple of quick easy checks first. Check and make sure the hot water temperature is at least 120 dgrs. in the bottom of the tub on the first fill of the cycle.

My personal experience with them is it’s hardly ever a bad heating element.
50% of the time you can clear the error fault code and it keeps on working just fine. The other 50% of the time I end up replacing the control board. Just my 2 cents.

My experience is basically the same. Usually the problem is a low water temperature or fill level issue. Seldom, is it an element or control.
OKay…this was all helpful information. I punched in the re-set/diagnostic button sequesnce and the unit is running again. However, it runs to a point and then seems to get stuck. The timer readout on the control panel gets stuck on the number 79 rather than showing the actual amount of time left in the wash. What does the number 79 mean?

That should be the time remaining in the cycle display. It will change again, if or when the control advances to the rinse cycle, if you have the sanitize option or heated rinse selection made. After you re set the control board each cycle has to "re program" itself, as it is used. The first time a cycle is selected, it is the "re program" cycle, then the next and consecutive cycles will start and program the same display until the sensors inform the control of a change.
Will be more patient and let the dishwasher work through re-programming.

It could take a while. If everything is proper and the sensors and thermostat meet the perameters, it could take as much as 1 1/2 to 2 hours to program the cycle. So be very patient.
