Sorry but I do not understand.
Do you mean the drain solenoid, the float switch or something else?

the machine won’t fill enough water so I ordered a new fill solenoid switch. the washer wouldn’t drain. I put the washer in my garage and rigged it to run. the plunger won’t close enough to give enough pressure to pump the system dry. it will drain if the drain is lower than the machine. not sure what else to check at this time. figured I’d replace filler and see what happens then. guess I should say that its not my machine. just helping some one. the pump is brand new also. why wouldn’t the pump switch close all the way.

If the wash/drain solenoid plunder will not go all the way down then that may be your problem or there may be something jamming the flapper.

If you remove the lower spray arm, you should be able to see the wash/drain flapper valve.
If you then manually actuate the solenoid you shoud be able to see the flapper switch from the wash to the drain position.

Cannot say without being there.
I would remove it from the unit and check it.

Thanks for your help, the pump and drain solenoid are brand new. I activated it on the bench and saw that it wouldn’t close completely. I’m going to test the solenoid from the old pump this week and see if it does the same thing. I hope to have the new fill switch in a day or so. I’ll let you know if that fixes it or maybe I’ll need to throw some more parts at it.
Thanks again.

I found out the problem with my not draining washer. The lady was talked into a new disposal unit because it was making some noise. probably a clog. I didn’t know about it and people take advantage of older people. Long story short. the tech didn’t punch out the drain plug on the garbage disposal. the parts ordered work great and washer is set for another 10 years.
Thanks again. lesson learned
