On Sat nite, my dishwasher decided it didn’t want to wash. I had used it already 3 or 4 times during the day. The clean lite was blinking as usual. I pushed the setting buttons, but when I push Start, it blinks a few times, and then Clean starts blinking again. I can push the Cancel/Drain button and it seems to be working. There is a little symbol that looks like a padlock, but there is no button to go with it. All of the buttons function, it just won’t start washing. I tried turning off the power to reset it, but that didn’t work either. It has never given me a problem since installation last spring. It may not be a Whirlpool, but I think it is. I’m at work and I can’t remember what it says on the front.
Hi dreamunicorn
The Clean light blinking seven times in a row, means the control is sensing a problem with the heat circuit. It could be the heater or the hi limit thermostat.
In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of the dishwasher. You can find it on the door frame.
Gene.
The model number is DU1048XTPQD and the serial number is FS0901113. The link for the instruction you sent in your next email wasn’t valid. Thanks.
My dryer runs except that is blowing cold air…I have read the past posts about checking igniter and thermal fuse…but I am having trouble getting access to them <somewhat embarassing question for me in this crowd> I have taken all of t he screws off the back but the panel will not come off. I have taken the top of the dryer off but wanted to check if that is necessary< looks like I would have to pull the drum that way> and the bottom panel in front of the dryer looks like it would come off but I just can’t figure out how to remove it. I don’t want to break anything.
Could someone tell me how to remove the toe panel in the front of this dryer…I am sure this is how to access the igniter and thermal fuse.
Thanks
G
did you figure out how to do it?

Washer appears to operate normally until timer reaches zero (washer supposed to shut off) but the washer keeps running. All water is seems drained but I hear a motor still running. I can’t initiate the test cycle. Can anyone shed light? I am a reasonably capable electrical/electronics type.

Microwave will not heat. Everything else works correctly, when you put something in and start it, nothing appears different with the exception that whatever temperature the item went in, it comes out unchanged.
