dishwasher won't start

Hey Guys,

My Kenmore dishwasher 587.15079200 has power and the door switch is good. I push the Normal wash button and the led light comes on, but when I push the start button, nothing happens. The Normal wash light then times out after 15 seconds. I tried power off and back on and that didn’t work either. anybody got any ideas?

I did that, the door switch works and voltage comes from switch when door is closed.

Open the control panel, unplug the ribbon from the control board and clean it using a pencil eraser. Plug it back and check the dishwasher. If it would not help then most likely the touch pad has to be replaced.
