I have a Maytag 200 quiet series dishwasher that is less than 2 years old. The keys are no longer working. I followed the testing instructions I found in the toekick panel of the dishwasher. I cleaned the ribbon with alcohol and put electrical grease on ribbon to keep out moisture. Then I did the manual function test (hit heated dry 5 x’s and hit start button). The normal wash light flashed 3 times. Nothing happened. Then I did the field service test (hit heated dry 6 x’s and hit start). All lights came on. Heavy wash light blinked during test. Machine filled with water, ran a wash cycle, pumped out the water, and nothing happened after that. Also, pushed key 1 and 3 and all lights come on. Also, have a light on #3 next to heated dry that blinks off and on, then stays lit, and will not go off.
Do I need a new control pad? Touchpad? Control Panel? Door switch? Any suggestions? (other than buying another dishwasher - NOT a Maytag)
