Door seems too heavy. Something broke when I pulled the oven out 4" to (successfully) replace the light bulb. I suspect the torsion spring, or something that secures it, is broken. How can I dis-assemble the door to investigate?
Hello,
You can find the instructions in one of our previous threads: http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/microwave-repair/127-replace-torsion-spring-micro-door.html
Here are the breakdown diagrams and http://www.appliancepartspros.com/parts-for-whirlpool-kems378gss0.html

Gene, Many thanks. Just put in a new spring following pics and text in Post #11 you referred me to. One thing: I did not have to slide the microwave oven out to get at the screw securing the bottom of the black plastic skin. That skin was just secured by four (not two) outside screws easily accessible.
Thanks again, Doug
