Double checking Bosch parts needed

Hi all,

When we try to start our Bosch SHU6806 dishwasher, it displays a 64 minute count, but never starts the cycle. After searching the Internet and this forum, I took out the control module and examined it. I noticed that a post on the 10 amp relay looked burned and solder was missing. I resoldered it, just for grins, but the unit still fails in the same way.

Additionally, several plastic "springs" on the front of the control panel are broken. What a stupid design that is. And I could use a new fascia because some of the tabs are broken.

Given the above, I think that I need the following parts:

Since support is provided via this forum, can someone from Appliance Parts Pros comment regarding the parts that I think I need?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Allen Cronce

Dear Acronce,

What we would like to do first is verify the part you received is correct. If you can please call us toll free at 1-877-477-7278 with your complete model and serial.

I think there’s been a misunderstanding. I haven’t bought the parts yet. I just want to verify that they’re probably the right ones before buying.

As far as calling that number you’ve given, I’ve tried that a couple of times. But I haven’t had enough time to wait for someone to answer.

I really want to get the right parts and fix my dishwasher. What’s the best way to do get there that doesn’t involve me spending my life on hold?

Best regards,

I ended up using your live chat to verify the parts. So you can ignore my last post. I’ve got the info I need and will be placing my order.

Thanks,

Allen Cronce

Subject refrigerator suddenly stopped working, and digital read-outs of freezer and refrig temps that are on panel on freezer door above water and ice dispenser are not displaying. The water dispenser works, and the lights are on inside, but the compressor and fan are not operable.

On the refrig temp display a single flashing light is evident.

I assume that a main control board has gone out, but can’t be sure. Can someone help?

Thanks for the information–service manuals and tech notes. I read on page 30 of the manual that the flashing LED indicated a possible ice maker sensor problem. About 6 weeks ago, the ice maker stopped working, and I unhooked it and removed it, and haven’t replaced it yet. I guess it’s possible the error message is connected somehow to that removal, but no problems or error messages were received until, as I said, 6 weeks or so after removal.

Anyway, I help "Power Freeze" and "Power Cool" buttons down simultaneously for 8 or so seconds, and first thing that happened was all LED’s began working and freezer and refrig temp indicators came back on, then after about 2 seconds, the compressor kicked on and began cooling.

The manual is very helpful. I don’t like the fact that the refrig completely shut down over an error code of this type. Glad that we were not on a week-long vacation, as everything inside would have been ruined. As it was, we were able to transfer things to a 2nd refrig during the downtime!

Glad to hear it worked out.
Unfortunately this is not a very well thought out unit and they tried to get way too fancy/complicated in it’s design.
