The code on our washer says drain blockage (F 02). I cleaned out all tubes from the drain pump assembly to the house wall drain with no luck. The pump runs but sounds like it is pushing as much air as water. Each time I take the hoses apart, to check for blockage, the water level is up to the highest point in the drain lines before it would drain by gravity into the house drain. I took the drain pump assembly apart to see if the impeller was broken. It looks small for the area it spins in, but it is not missing any blades. I looked online to see if I could get a picture of the impeller to compare, but no luck. Any Ideas
Thanks
Matt
This does sound like a pump problem, that it is failing to ‘prime’ in some way.
Try replacing it and see if that fixes your problem. If you buy from this site and don’t need a new pump you can return it.
I received the pump last night from this site, installed it with no change. It does the exact same thing. The washer will run half way through the cycle and comes up with the code F 02. Drain blockage. Any other suggestions.
Thanks Matt
Darn, had hoped that would work.
The next set of suspects are the circuit boards. See if you can test them using the techniques on the tech sheets you should have found under the top or inside the lower service panel. Unfortunately you may have to just replace them one by one to see if that fixes things.
Again, if you buy from this site you can return the parts you don’t need. Yes, I know this doesn’t sound very scientific, but that’s how they repair these models these days.
