I am replacing the Drum Slides and felt pads. They are completely worn off so I want to be sure of the placement. The diagram shows the felt pad placed on the bracket and then drum slide placed over the felt pad - is this correct? Does the drum rotate directly on the Drum slide or the felt pad?
Also the instructions for the drum seal state "place the seal stitch side down on the drum" - mine looks like the seal is placed on the lip of the front bulkhead, not the drum itself - which is correct?
